Every Year the Golden Rooster School holds public events to promote the benefits of Tai Chi Chuan, Qigong, and meditation . and some times we actually get featured in local media... here are some of those.

​Mestre Keith Roost and Professora Gloria Dean of the Golden Rooster Institute gave demonstrations in conjunction with the Escola Superior De Enfermagem de Coimbra (Coimbra School of Nursing) and the Centro de Saude de Norton de Matos (Norton de Matos Health Centre) during a week of activities to promote mental health, and general health and wellbeing.
Tai Chi Chuan has been shown to increase relaxation, boost the immune system, and increase circulation as well as promote flexibility, strength, and overall fitness.
The Golden Rooster Institute also collaborates with the Nursing School and Health Centre  to promotes healthy heart activities  in the city of Coimbra and surrounding countryside. More than 60 members of the Golden Rooster institute regularly  train at the classes run in collaboration with the Universidade dos Hospitais de Coimbra (Coimbra University Hospital) the Escola Agricola de Coimbra (Coimbra Technical College) and other University faculties.  
​Golden Rooster institute also provides other opportunities to participate in Tai Chi Chuan through public open days and events, such as World Tai Chi day, and come and try Thursdays in the Parque Verde, and de Praca Republica.
