According to Traditional Oriental Medicine

The World Health Organisation and Traditional Chinese Medicine both consider good health in broad terms which encompass physical and emotional well being rather than simply the absence of illness.

Traditional Chinese Medicine / Traditional Oriental Medicine
Qi (pronounced chee) or intrinsic energy is seen to flow through the body along traditional pathways or channels called Meridians. Good health is accompanied by a strong, balanced and regular flow of Qi through the channels.
In poor health the flow is irregular and disrupted, causing an insufficiency of Qi in some areas and an excess in others
The Qi flow can be influenced and brought back into balance by the methods of TCM, which include Tai Chi Chuan and Qigong.
