Class times vary from location to location. We offer Classes in the mornings and evenings. See them here. You can make an appointment to visit a class for a free consultation to determine which classes and programs would work best for you. How much are lessons? We offer a wide range of private and group lessons. Courses are based on several factors: length of time, number of lessons, course curriculum, etc. That's why we recommend that you visit a class, or call us. We can then get more information about what you are looking for and make some recommendations. What if I can't make every class? No problem. If you're away on holiday or travel regularly, simply pick up where you left off when you return. Many people in the drop in classes are away for extended periods. We'll still be here when you come back. What if I have not tried Tai Chi or Qigong before? No problem. ,Our teachers will have a chat with you prior to class and advise you about what you can do that is safe and suitable for you. What should I wear for classes? Please wear loose, layered, comfortable clothing and footwear that's comfortable and fairly flat. What if I am not very coordinated? Don't worry, you're not expected to be co-ordinated when you start, with regular practice of our progressive activities, you'll get there. What if my balance isn't good? You do not need to have good balance to begin tai chi, or qigong. Our programs are designed to build your levels of functional fitness, improve core strength, and correct posture; which all help improve balance. Our active ageing programs gradually increase your ability to balance, be agile, and prevent falls. Do I have to be in shape to start? No! Our beginner programs takes this into consideration. They gradually gets you back into shape and improve your flexibility. As you learn, you will improve your concentration, coordination and focus. As your strength and flexibility improve, the more advanced training levels challenge you to improve yourself even more. Will Tai Chi or Qigong Help manage my Pain and arthritis? Increasing studies have shown that practice of Tai Chi and Qigong can effectively aid in pain management, and assist with the symptoms of many common conditions. Our Classes are designed to teach you the skills you need to do this well. Who teaches the classes? All of our teachers are experienced, qualified and insured. We operate to the highest standards, as you would expect from a professional school. How long are programs? This depends on your individual needs. Most programs that we recommend, so you can get the full benefit of training, are about 12 months. We can do shorter term programs... including just individual group and private lessons. Do you have Manuals, and DVD's ? Yes. We offer manuals as well as DVD's that cover our curriculum, and workshops. My schedule changes weekly. Is your schedule flexible? Yes, but if you are concerned, talk to one of our teachers to discuss the best syllabus, and payment options for you. |
